چکیده

The use of uncoated fused silica capillary columns and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) in capillary electrophoresis (CE) to separate DNA ladders and plasmids is described. In these studies HPMC is used as a sieving matrix to separate DNA. Many previous studies have focused on using coated and gel-filled capillaries to *Correspondence: F. A. Applications of short-chain polydimethylacrylamide as sieving medium for the electrophoretic separation of DNA fragments and mutation analysis in uncoated capillaries.

In capillary electrophoresis (CE), separation of DNA fragments is usually performed in covalently coated capillaries. Recent studies have demonstrated that certain polymers form a dynamic coating on the inner surface of the capillary, thereby suppressing the electroosmotic flow and DNA-capillary wall interactions. We developed a simple method for the synthesis of short-chain polydimethylacrylam...

Introducing a New and Simple Protocol for Capillary Electrophoresis of Cell Free Fetal Double Stranded DNA

Isolation of cell free fetal DNA (cffDNA) from maternal serum usually leads to very low concentrations of DNA impeding further resolving through conventional methods of electrophoresis. Although several protocols have been described for capillary electrophoresis (CE) of double stranded DNA, they usually need using special polymers or coated capillaries which degrade over time. Herein, we propos...

Monolithic silica capillary column with coated cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) for capillary electrochromatographic separation of enantiomers.

Monolithic silica capillary columns were prepared by a sol-gel process in fused-silica capillaries with an inner diameter of 50 microm and were modified by coating of cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate). Influences of the factors in the modification process on enantiomer separations were investigated. The prepared columns were used to perform enantiomer separations by CEC. Fifteen and t...

Chiral Separation of Basic and Zwitterionic Drugs by Highly Sulfated Cyclodextrins Using Short-End Injection Capillary Electrophoresis Highly Sulfated Cyclodextrins Using Short-End Injection Capillary Electrophoresis

Due to high resolution power of sulfated cyclodextrins (HS-CDs), utilization of these selectors for chiral resolution of 7 basic and 2 zwitterionic drugs have been examined. Experiments were performed on a HP3DCE instrument equipped with an on-column diode array UV absorbance detector. Fused silica capillaries with an inner diameter of 50 ?m, an outer diameter of 365 ?m, and a total length of 4...

Ultra-high-speed DNA fragment separations using microfabricated capillary array electrophoresis chips.

Capillary electrophoresis arrays have been fabricated on planar glass substrates by photolithographic masking and chemical etching techniques. The photolithographically defined channel patterns were etched in a glass substrate, and then capillaries were formed by thermally bonding the etched substrate to a second glass slide. High-resolution electrophoretic separations of phi X174 Hae III DNA r...
